Meet Dean Humphrey

My History and Family

I was born in Burlington, but grew up in Mocksville, North Carolina. I attended college at UNC before going to Wake Forest for law school. I graduated from law school in 1995.

After working for a law firm in Mocksville for almost two years, my wife and I chose Wilmington as the place where we wanted to start our lives together. We moved to Wilmington in the summer of 1997 and immediately fell in love with southeast North Carolina! We have never considered living anywhere else. We have also been blessed with two wonderful sons.

In early 2003, I decided that it was time to start my own law firm. My law firm has always focused on handling personal injury cases, traffic tickets, and criminal defense. More importantly, however, the focus has always been on treating each client with respect and also on providing each case the individual attention that it deserves.

The Process Of Hiring My Firm

Unlike many law firms or businesses, there is nothing complicated about hiring my law firm. All you need to do is pick up the phone and call me. Or, you can email me. My telephone and my emails are answered by me immediately. I will be happy to chat with you on the phone or via email. Then, after our chat, you can always schedule an appointment with me for a specific day or time. I am typically at the office by at least 9:00am and until at least 5:00pm and am also often available for appointments during evenings or weekends if necessary.

Lastly, it is not uncommon for many of my clients to simply pop by the office. If I am not at the courthouse, I am usually in the office and happy to meet you immediately. Over the years, countless clients have told me that they have been shocked at being able to see me whenever they come to my office without an appointment. One of my goals has always been to be available to all of my clients, so I never mind when a client or potential client pops into the office. My office has a very casual, but professional, environment and my clients are always welcome.

My office is conveniently located at 2709 Market Street in Wilmington (directly across from the YMCA) in Suite 105. There is plenty of free parking right outside my door.

When you and I meet to discuss your situation, there will be no legal fee. I never charge a fee to simply talk to someone. After you and I discuss your case, I will be able to tell you what I believe I can do for you and what legal fee will be charged. Again, there is never a fee for a consultation. In addition, I am flexible and work with all of my clients if payment plans are needed.
